Directed Award Contracting Option

As an ANC subsidiary and a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) company, EKS Group may accept direct awards up to $22 million ($100 million for Department of Defense (DoD)*) without formal justification and is not restricted by the normal 8(a) directed award ceiling (FAR 19.808-1 ).

• Directed awards are non-protestable (13 CFR 124.517)

• Reduces procurement cycle timelines

• Offers transparency in cost and price negotiation

A sole source procurement to EKS Group, under the provisions of FAR 19.805-1 (b )(2) and 13 CFR 124.506(b) provides a stream lined and flexible procurement strategy.

* Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 National Defense Authorization Act, Section 823 raises the justification and approval J&A threshold to $100,000,000 for DoD. No J&A is required for DoD-awarded sole-source 8(a) contracts under $100,000,000.
