Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC (ChESS) is an Alaska Native Owned SBA-Certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business focused on providing professional services and information technology support to US Federal Agencies. ChESS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chenega Corporation. Directed Award Contracting Option
As an ANC subsidiary and a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) company, ChESS may accept direct awards up to $25 million ($100 million for Department of Defense (DoD)*) without formal justification and is not restricted by the standard 8(a) directed award ceiling (FAR 19.808-1).
A sole source procurement to ChESS under the provisions of FAR 19.805-1(b)(2) and 13 CFR 124.506(b) provides a streamlined and flexible procurement strategy.

* Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 National Defense Authorization Act, Section 823 raises the justification and approval (J&A) threshold to$ 100,000,000 for DoD. No justification and approval is required for DoD-awarded sole-source 8(a) contracts under $100,000,000.
